How does a mobile appointment actually work?
You call, we agree a time and a price, and the van shows up at your address with the film, tools, water and power. A standard car takes roughly two to three hours in your driveway. You don't need to be outside with us the whole time.
What do you need from me at the location?
Somewhere reasonably flat to park with a bit of room around the vehicle, and ideally out of heavy wind and direct blowing dust. We bring our own power and water. A garage or carport is great but not required.
How long until I can roll the windows down?
Leave them up for two to three days. The film needs time to cure and the small amount of moisture left behind has to evaporate. Some haze or tiny water pockets in the first week are completely normal and clear on their own.
Do you do same-day?
Often, in and around Oakley, Brentwood, Antioch, Pittsburg and Discovery Bay. Further out — Tracy, Stockton, Modesto, Fairfield, Sacramento — we schedule those as planned trips, usually a few days ahead.
What does it cost?
It depends on the vehicle, how many windows, and whether you want standard or ceramic film. Call with the year, make and model and we'll quote it on the phone — no in-person estimate needed for a normal vehicle.
Is ceramic film worth the extra?
If the vehicle lives outside in the Valley or the Delta heat, yes. Ceramic rejects far more infrared heat than standard dyed film and it doesn't interfere with phone signal, keyless entry or sensors. If the car is garaged and you mainly want privacy, standard film is fine.
Can you remove my old purple, bubbled tint?
Yes, and it's a common job. The important part is the rear glass — the defroster lines lift with the adhesive if the film is pulled dry. We steam it off properly, clean the adhesive down to bare glass, then re-tint.
How dark can I legally go?
Fronts must stay light in California; rear sides and the back glass can be as dark as you like. We cover it properly on our tint law page and we'll talk it through before we start.
Do you really tint RVs and boats?
That's a big part of what we do. Storage lots, RV parks, marinas, docks, trailers in the side yard. Those are exactly the vehicles that can't easily get to a shop, which is the whole point of being mobile.
Do you handle fleets?
Yes — we come to the yard and work through the vehicles a few at a time, including early mornings, evenings and weekends so nothing comes off the road during working hours.
Do you tint houses and offices too?
We'll take care of homes and small business glass for customers who ask, but vehicles are our focus and our specialty. Call and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit for the job.
