Windshield Film & Sun Strips
The one piece of glass most people skip, and the one that cooks you.
The windshield is the largest glass on the car and the biggest single source of heat coming at you. California limits how dark you can go on it, but a clear or near-clear ceramic film is legal at the top strip and rejects a large amount of infrared without changing what you see.
A brow strip across the top also handles the low sun angle that the visor never quite covers — the exact problem driving west on Highway 4 in the evening or east on the 120 in the morning.
